At Dr. Wani®, we always believe in quality treatment in dentistry. We strongly follow the standards that match dental surgery standards in the United Kingdom and the USA. Maintaining the best and safest treatment money can buy at a fraction of the cost you would pay back home.
In the beginning, every day, the floors are meticulously scrubbed with Phenol and suitable disinfectant, which removes all disease-causing germs and leaves the place smelling fresh. All carpeted/non carpeted treatment zones are meticulously cleaned with a high-power vacuum cleaner to get all the dust and allergens out and prevent air-borne infections, if any.
The dental units and all moving/rotating parts are wiped with an antiseptic solution and wiped clean with a clean cloth. After each patient, the same procedure is followed for the chairs to prevent cross-infection.
All instruments are thoroughly washed in running water flowed by antiseptic solutions and wiped clean, packaged into sterile pouches and vacuum-sealed to prevent cross-contamination. The instruments are placed into a steam autoclave unit and sterilized at 180 degrees, which is w disease-causing bacteria in vegetative and spore form known to be killed. This is also the standard sterilization procedure to be followed in Operation Theatres worldwide.
We always use a fresh, new pair of gloves for every patient disposed of immediately once the treatment session is finished. All disposables are torn as well, so there is no question of reuse and packaging. This is all done before every patient. Besides, we always use disposables like masks, suction tips and water bottles. All local anaesthesia is dispensed from sealed syringes opened in front of you and disposed of immediately after treatment for safety. Dentists and patients mandatorily wear glasses during tooth lightening process to avoid any harm to the eyes.
Hand washing is the cornerstone of the ‘patient – doctor – auxiliary staff’ protection circle aiming at the prevention of cross infection. Wash their hands before and after coming in contact with the patient, after removing the gloves, with water and soap followed by an antimicrobial solution are sufficient.
We follow a very unique and world best five Tier Sterilization Protocol for Non-Disposable Instruments. All these steps are performed by a well-trained infection control nurse and observed and audited regularly by an infection control doctor.
We Follow Four Tier Sterilization Protocol For Non-Disposable Instruments. All used instruments to be isolated in fixed area after that instruments are scrubbed and washed thoroughly with use of spirit, Swarm detergent, running type water wearing heavy utility gloves to remove any attached debris.
We are affiliated with local state Medical Waste Disposal Unit for all biomedical waste, so leaving no chances for cross infections and environmental pollution.
The air of the whole clinic is sanitized by chemical fogging twice a day. Hydrogen peroxide 11% w/v with 0.01 w/v silver nitrate is used as an air fumigator for air-borne pathogens.
